What is Lipo 360?
Liposuction 360 is a comprehensive liposuction procedure that targets the entire torso circumferentially in one single procedure. Many patients have excess fat in the abdomen, waist, and back. If only the abdomen is treated in such patients, it will result in an disproportional contour in relation to the other areas and can even accentuate the fat in the untreated areas, making them appear larger once the abdomen is smaller. What areas are treated in a Lipo 360 procedure?
Depending on your unique body shape and goals, Dr. Precht will recommend which areas should be treated for the best results. Lipo 360 usually includes liposuction of:
- the entire abdomen (upper, middle, and lower abdomen)
- the pubic area (mons pubis)
- the love handles (outer hips and hips)
- the waist
- the upper back
Because of the importance of maintaining proportions and smooth contours, the armpit area (axilla) is often treated as well since this area is adjacent to the waist and the back which will be significantly smaller after Lipo 360.

Since general anesthesia is not required for VASER Lipo 360, your recovery from the anesthesia aspect of the procedure will also be much faster. During your procedure, you will be closely monitored by Dr. Precht’s excellent anesthesia team who will administer IV medications so that you will sleep peacefully throughout the procedure. This allows Dr. Precht to remove the maximum amount of fat from the treated areas to provide you with the most dramatic results, while ensuring a comfortable, pain-free procedure for you. Most patients report feeling like they took a short nap and the procedure was over!
The initial phase of the procedure involves the use of tumescent fluid, an anesthetic solution injected under the skin that produces a numbing effect and prevents bleeding, making liposuction extremely safe. After the tumescent fluid is introduced, a tiny VASER probe that emits ultrasonic energy at its tip dislodges the fat from the surrounding tissue, while leaving vital structures unharmed. The fat is then removed via tiny tubes called micro-cannulas, and collected into canisters that the patient can view when the procedure is concluded.
